Cookie Policy

Last Updated: 20 September 2026

1. Introduction

This policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on metamateplugin.com. It follows UK GDPR and the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), and we apply the same approach to visitors from the EU.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to work. Others are optional, and we use them only with your consent.

3. The cookies we use

EssentialKeeps the site secure and working, remembers your cookie choices, and keeps your basket and login working in the checkout and account area. Not needed
AnalyticsGoogle Analytics helps us see how visitors use the website: pages visited, time spent, browser and device, approximate location and how you reached us.Asked first

We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If we add any, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.

4. Third parties

  • Google Analytics, for website usage analytics. Google’s own privacy policy applies to its use of that data.
  • SureCart, which provides our checkout and account area, sets the cookies needed to keep them working.

5. Your choices

When you first visit metamateplugin.com, a banner lets you accept all cookies, choose which to allow, or reject the optional ones. Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of the site.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the website, such as checkout, may not work.

6. How long data is kept

Cookies last for the time set by whoever places them. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

7. The plugins

The MetaMate and SearchVesa plugins do not set cookies on your website’s visitors, and they do not use Google Analytics.

8. Your rights

You can withdraw your consent at any time. Your other data protection rights are explained in our Privacy Policy, including how to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always on this page with its “Last updated” date.
